SII Distributes Essential Supplies To Flood-Affected Mosques And Orphanages In Bogor
Written by Admin@semenindonesiainternational.com . Publish On 25 March 2025PT Semen Indonesia International (SII) demonstrated its concern for residents affected by flooding in Villa Nusa Indah, Bojongkulur Village, Gunungputri, Bogor, West Java, by distributing aid for mosques and orphanages on Thursday (March 20, 2025). This initiative is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed at easing the burden of disaster victims.
The assistance, personally delivered by SII employees at Darussalam Mosque and Alkafil Orphanage, included mosque equipment such as microphones, prayer supplies, fans, cabinets, and mattresses needed by the residents. In addition to material aid, the company also provided moral support and encouragement to the affected residents, helping them recover and resume their daily activities.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for SII's concern. The 3-meter-high flood that submerged Villa Nusa Indah caused significant damage, especially to household items. "We are very grateful for the support from Semen Indonesia International. This assistance greatly alleviates our burden and will be very useful in supporting religious activities and education at our orphanage," said Nurbani, a caretaker at Alkafil Orphanage in Bogor.
This initiative is expected to accelerate the recovery of flood-affected areas and bring positive impacts to the surrounding community. SII remains committed to implementing various CSR programs that not only support environmental sustainability but also contribute directly to those in need.
As previously reported, Bogor and its surrounding areas were hit by floods on Tuesday morning (March 4, 2025). The worst-affected locations included Villa Nusa Indah housing complexes 1, 2, and 5 in Bojongkulur Village, Gunungputri, where water levels reached up to 3 meters. In addition to Villa Nusa Indah, the flood also inundated Bumi Mutiara in Bojongkulur Village. At least 4,971 households were affected by the disaster in these two areas.
